Summer P-EBT
$455 per child in food purchasing assistance

For Hawaii families with children who are struggling to buy food, there's a valuable benefit that can help. It’s called Summer P-EBT.

If your child was:

  • enrolled in free or reduced-price lunch at the end of the school year, or
  • enrolled in a school that provides free meals to all students through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) or another provision, (see list of DOE CEP Schools here) or
  • if your keiki under 6 years old received SNAP benefits in June or July

they AUTOMATICALLY qualify for this extra help, and Summer P-EBT benefits will be loaded to your Kokua EBT or Hawaii P-EBT card.

If your child isn’t already enrolled in free or reduced-price school lunch or SNAP, and you are struggling to pay for food for your family, you have until July 31st to apply for one of these programs, and if eligible, you’ll receive Summer P-EBT benefits of $455 per child.

Receiving Summer P-EBT will NOT impact your citizenship or immigration status.

How can children become eligible for Summer P-EBT?
