This classic dish is often served at baby lū’au’s, parties, and everyday get togethers. It’s a colorful blend of crisp veggies and salty salmon. The ultimate Hawaiian pupu (side dish).
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound salted salmon
- 1 bunch green onions ✅
- 1 sweet onion ✅
- 2 tomatoes ✅
*You can substitute WIC approved canned salmon in replace of salted salmon.
Directions
- Finely dice salmon, green onion, sweet onion, and tomato.
- Add ingredients to a medium sized bowl and toss to combine.
- Add a few ice cubes to the mixture and place in the fridge to stay cool. The salmon can be quite salty, so the ice cubes will help dilute it slightly as the ice melts.
- Enjoy!
