For perfectly balanced pan-fried chicken, try this simple recipe. When you marinate the chicken over night, frying only takes a few minutes. Add this dish to your side of choice, and it's a meal for the entire family.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup shoyu
- 2 eggs ✅
- 3-4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions (chopped) ✅
- 3 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 3/4 cup cooking oil of your choice
Directions
- Combine all of the ingredients listed above, leaving out the chicken thighs and cooking oil. Mix well.
- Add your chicken thighs into the mixture, getting them completely coated, and let that marinate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Grab a pan and heat up 3/4 cup oil over medium heat.
- Add in your chicken thighs and fry each side for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. You will know your chicken is ready when it’s reached an internal temperature of 165F.
- Serve over WIC approved brown rice and enjoy!
